EFT Tapping & The Meridian TherapiesMeridian Energy Therapies (METs) became a separate healing field when a US psychologist, Dr Roger Callahan, began to use insights about the body's energy system to treat psychological problems with astonishing success in the early 1980s. His research revealed that different emotions were linked to different meridians. He developed TFT (Thought Field Therapy), how to release specific emotions by stimulating combinations of meridian points.
TFT is done by a carefully trained practitioner and relies on complex sequences of tapping the points.
EFT was designed and developed by Gary Craig, who simplified the combinations of TFT and his method was far easier and turned the more complex TFT into a self help tool that any one can learn and apply.
EFT is a form of psychological acupressure, based on the same energy meridians used in traditional acupuncture but without the invasiveness of needles. Instead simple tapping with the finger tips stimulate specific meridian energy points while the client is tuned into the problem, whether it is a traumatic event, an addiction, pain etc -
Tapping or holding a sequence of acupuncture points while tuning into a problem causes blocks and distress to melt away rapidly and gently. This accelerated process enables clients and therapists to work rapidly through layers of decisions and beliefs, memories and emotions to treat the root cause of dysfunction
The subtle energies that circulate throughout the body have been largely ignored (until recently) by western scientists. With EFT, however, we consider these subtle energies to be the front running cause of emotional upsets and as a result, we generate results that are FAR beyond those of conventional methods
How Does It Work?EFT is based on the discovery and principle that an upsetting experience or problem is associated with a disturbance in our energy system.
Using EFT we select and tune into the energy blockage we want to release i.e. think the thought that creates the emotion, or focus on the limiting belief.
While tuned in to that energy disturbance, we stimulate 14 of these specific meridian points on the face and body. This balances the energy system and as the energy disturbance starts to dissipate, the associated emotion or the strength of the belief simply dissolves away.
You focus on what you want to release and tap or hold the meridian points at the same time.
EFT will often work where nothing else will, providing rapid, long lasting relief. It is gentle with no drugs or equipment involved.

EmotranceWhat is Emotrance?
EmoTrance™ is a very simple, natural concept and technique for transforming Emotional Energy. EmoTrance™ is the latest tool from the field of Energy Psychology and was developed by Sylvia Hartmann and presented in 2002 in the UK.
Emotrance is based on the very simple pre-supposition, namely that emotions are not a problem, regardless of their severity or 'label' but that the way emotions are being handled in our systems that is the cause of many problems. In this case we work by releasing the underlying energy disturbance from our energy system which is the cause of our emotions.
How Does It Work?By simply holding the thought that the energy will soften it does.
